LAN all NIGHT Dallas Donates More than 600 Food Items to North Texas Food Bank Amid Covid-19 Pandemic

LAN All NIGHT Gaming Festival recently donated more than 600 food items to the North Texas Food Bank that they collected at their inaugural event in Grapevine, Texas.

The event’s primary attraction is the Bring Your Own Computer (BYOC) section where gamers bring their computer to participate in 50+ hours of non-stop gaming and charity. There were tournaments, raffles, contests, a large free play area and a board game zone.

The event was held before social distancing recommendations were made due to the covid-19 outbreak.

“We’re so glad we decided to host a food drive,” said Steven Offield, LAN All NIGHT Chief Marketing & Communications Officer. “There are so many families out there that will be in need of these essential items during this time.”

A blood drive was also hosted at the event benefiting Carter BloodCare. Blood donations are still in need at this time.

“During the Coronavirus pandemic, blood is still needed for cancer patients, transplant recipients, heart surgery and trauma patients,” said Kyle Russell, LAN All NIGHT Chief Power & Cooling Infrastructure Officer. “Carter BloodCare recently made a plea for 700 donations of blood and we’re proud of our attendees for providing more than 20 of those.

LANFest Teams up with Make-A-Wish Foundation to Grant a Wish of a Gaming Laptop

LANFest and Make-A-Wish Foundation recently teamed up to grant the wish of Sean from Roseville, California.

He wanted a gaming laptop so he could play with his friends, and it looks like his wish came true! Sean is now the owner of a brand-new MSI laptop, RGB gaming keyboard and a great collection of games. 

It’s stories like this that portrays exactly what the LANFest community is all about!

LANFest Sacramento Raises More than $4,000 for UC Davis Children’s Hospital

LANFest Sacramento recently held their summer charity LAN event, titled WANFEST Sacramento SUMMER 2020, where they raised more than $4,000 for UC Davis Children’s Hospital. 


“The hospital is critical to supporting the community in these difficult times,” said Nathan Johnson, a member of the chapter. “It’s vital to support these causes so children have a place to be treated.”


This was also the first online event the chapter has held, and they consider it a great success.


LANFest Sacramento is the Sacramento chapter of LANFest.

LAN all NIGHT Gaming Festival Holds Event During Pandemic to Raise More than 1,000 Food Donations for North Texas Families Before Thanksgiving

LAN All NIGHT Gaming Festival recently held an in-person video game event to raise food donations for the North Texas Food Bank, as well as hosted a blood drive for Carter BloodCare, all amidst a global pandemic.

“Charity was our main focus but safety was our number one priority for our attendees,” said LAN all NIGHT Vice President Kyle “Neg1” Russell. “Through strict social distancing, requiring face masks and daily temperature checks, we were able to assure a safe environment for our attendees.”

The event raised more than 1,000 food donations, weighing in at almost 700 lbs., and is expected to feed nearly 600 families this Thanksgiving.

LAN all NIGHT also hosted a Carter BloodCare blood drive during the event where they collected enough blood to save nearly 40 lives.

“It was a tough decision to hold an event during a pandemic,” said LAN all NIGHT President Steven “Eradicator” Offield. “We knew it was going to be difficult but we knew it was just so important to donate food and blood in a time like this.”

“Blood donations are needed now more than ever,” said LAN all NIGHT Director Adam “SirSkippy” Reynolds. “Because of the pandemic, blood donations have dropped off across the board. We recognized the need and stepped up to the plate.”

LAN all NIGHT Gaming Festival plans to return in late spring/early summer of 2021 to raise even more food and blood donations for the North Texas Community.
